Wow, there's a surprise for me.
My u/s at the OB's office didn't go well. She's measuring SMALL still, now in the 27th or so percentile. That means that even though I am gaining weight for her, she is not thriving well in my body. The OB told me that she's taking her out once I hit 37 weeks, or full term.
That means our Little Lamb is being born on Monday.
I am thrilled, shocked, excited, scared at the same time. I have been waiting for this day for a very very long time.
But I'm still scared--she's coming 3 weeks early and although she'll be fully developed, I feel a little sad that my body has failed her a little.
I am going to *Nest* this week and get everything ready---grocery shop, relax, FINALLY GET MY PEDICURE (I won't be too tired!) and rent some DVD's for the hospital.
My c/s is scheduled at 9:30 AM and we have to be at the hospital two hours earlier.
Well, that's it for now! I'll post more very soon.

Too Tired for Pedicure
I can't believe I am saying that! I want to stay home!! But I need a pedicure sooo bad and I can't touch my feet.
Off to the nail salon it is, but I'd rather relax at home. But once I get there, I'll be in heaven.
BTW--I have feet sticking out of me right now---so cute! And hiccups. Those two things always make me smile.

Horrible Night
I had BH contractions last night from about 1-4 AM that were about 4-10 minutes apart. I could not sleep at all, John was up with me and he was timing them.
No worries though---baby still inside. But she stopped moving and that got me a little concerned.
Couch time today. Didn't go to Labor and Delivery but if this happens again, I definitely will go. I just saw my OB earlier in the day and was doing great and feeling like a champ.
I think I overdid it--I made three dinners---two to freeze for post-partum and cleaned out our kitchen cabinets, 2 loads of laundry, Target shopping, and grocery shopping.
I'm exhausted.

2 openings already?
...two recruiters contacted me already about opportunities--one in my field currently and one in CNS Specialty. One pays sooo well...my salary would DOUBLE, but training and stuff would be probably in November.
There pretty much is no way I can leave LL at home.
But at least my resume is out there and I am getting calls!

Maternity Leave Starts NOW!
...very unexpected for those of you who follow my blog.
On Monday I found via a 10AM teleconference that I have been laid off effective September 30th. I will not be entitled to FMLA or any types of benefits anymore since I am part-time. Our entire program lost our jobs, including my boss in OH and her director in ATL.
But it's okay. I had a bad day on Monday, yesterday I had a few contacts with recruiters who I've been in touch with before, and I am sure I'll find a new position. Today I woke up "excited" that I am ending one chapter but beginning a whole new one--our little girl's LIFE.
The key to all of this is timing--since I am 9 months pregnant on Sunday, there is NO WAY I am starting this search. But J and I discussed that this is a wonderful time to stay at home with LL and develop her routine (breast feeding, etc.) until I can resume work. My ultimate plan is to apply in November, interview in December, and start work in January.
Medical sales jobs are a dime a dozen. There is always a need for great sales reps. My experience in adverting and pharmaceuticals has prepared me for the next great opportunity.
Not sure where I'll end up, whether it'd still be part-time or full-time but I know that this opportunity will bless our family.
Here's to a fall filled with newborn memories---Halloween, Thanksgiving, and warm Christmas spirit--all at home and full of love.

My Latest Obsession

Of course it has to deal with food! I Love milk. I HEART milk. It has been my saving grace since 24 weeks. And when I feel like my stomach is getting a little acidic, one glass and I feel great.
Other things I LOVE this pregnancy are as follows--my Top 10 List!
10. Ice Cream (cookies n cream is my favorite right now)
9. Mini Chocolate Donut Balls (keep them in the freezer and have 1-2 daily)
8. Cinammon Rolls
7. Atlanta Bread (Greek Salad and Turkey Sandwiches)
6. Cookies (usually a combo of chocolate chip/peanut butter)
5. Diet Coke from a FOUNTAIN. I love fountain drinks.
4. Strawberries
3. Pineapple (have to watch heartburn though!)
2. Ice cream cake roll from Schwan's
1. MILK

Fall Weather is HERE!
So awesome. So comfortable too!
I spent a little bit of money yesterday buying fall scented candles and air freshener for our home. I picked out scents like spiced pumpkin and autumn sunrise. I LOVE the smell of Fall.
I am so glad it's here and then LL can come out and play soon!

Ahhhh.....FAILED again!
So LL let me down again this morning and I failed my NST. The nurse was sooo sad to deliver the news---she said that procedure is making her schedule the urgent u/s but that probably everything would be okay. Her heartrate dropped 4 times over the course of 30 minutes so it was inevitable that I would be going in for another BPP. (Biophysical Profile)
The only issue was that they were booked AGAIN so I had to wait 2 hours to get in. Again, I had to go to the hospital and not my OB office, but this time the radiologist was VERY awesome and even printed out more pictures. Poor LL, she is sooo head down and smushed against me that her face did not show in any pictures---so I got a nice "foot" photo! Her foot measures about 2.75" already! Can you believe that that is JUST her foot? No wonder why I feel like I have no room!
The radiologist also said "Whoa--looks like a lot of hair!" Our last u/s tech said that too---I am afraid she's going to need a hair cut after she is born. I talked to John and he didn't have ANY hair at birth and I had just a tiny little bit. Who knows where this is coming from. The tech did say that if hair shows up on the u/s it is usually dark and a lot.
I think LL is playing with her umbilical cord too much--when she rolls on it or moves it around the h/r falls but then goes back up again. They told me the cord is right in front of her--not around her neck or anything but that when she "plays with it" it causes the drop in heart rate.
So, today is our last day of 90+ weather. Tomorrow we will be in the low to mid 70's and I cannot WAIT! It has been a hot couple of days. I can't wait until I can wear jeans and sweaters!

Wow! Finally it's September!
And LL should be here before we know it. Good thing. I am starting to whine and annoy John. No, he's really not annoyed, but sometimes I tear up and tell him I can't wait to have my body back to myself. I enjoy sharing it but the physical symptoms are starting to wear on me.
It's been SO HOT the past Labor Day weekend that I haven't been able to enjoy it. I have to stay inside.
My next NST is tomorrow so wish me luck. Hopefully everything will be fine again.
